Public Achievement in partnership with the Irish Football Association and UnLtd, have just launched a new award for young active citizens. Local and international guests attended a celebration event at the Baby Grand in Belfast, at which four young people presented the projects they have initiated with the support of the three organisations.
Pictured is award winner Christoper Madden, who organised the 108 Campaign for the establishment of a Northern Ireland Youth Assembly, with Alan Shannon, the Permanent Secretary for the Department of Social Development.
Public Achievement and the other partners are now seeking sponsorship to make the awards an annual event, and to promote the positive contribution of young people to building a new Northern Ireland.
