Achieve Enterprises
Achieve Enterprises is the new trading arm of Public Achievement. It is a Social Economy business, established in October 2008, to allow us to develop some of the services of Public Achievement on a more commercial basis. The company is a separate legal entity, and will gift its surplus to the parent charity - operating as a not-for-profit company. Public Achievement controls an 80% interest in the new company.
In particular AE will be driving the internationalisation of our
WIMPS
(Where Is My Public Servant?) project and website, and managing a series of media projects for clients - buying in the expertise of the Public Achievement team as well as other sub-contractors.
The first contract is with the Irish
Department of Foreign Affairs
. Through their Reconcilliation Fund, the Department has commissioned Achieve Enterprises to create a short documentary film on the impact of policing on the lives of young people from tougher social realities. To accompany the film, we are working with the
Institute for Conflict Research
to produce a research report, outlining the methodology behind the film project, collating existing research on young people and policing, and identifying what needs to be done to improve the relationship between young people, the police, and policing institutions.
Achieve Enterprises will develop the new media expertise of the Public Achievement team on a more commercial basis - so if you have film projects, social networking tools, or creative engagement work that you need to do, please drop us a
line
, or give us a call at the PA office 028 9044 2813.
