Away from Violence South Africa
. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day, and the shoppers of south Belfast who gave so generously!
The funds will help send two staff members and two young people (one from our
Away from Violence
project here, and the other from the
WIMPS
project) to Cape Town this December to take part in the 'Media Kidocracy Konference' run by our partners
Bush Radio
on Robben Island. The event will bring together young people from across the Western Cape who have been working with Bush Radio, including around 200 young people who have been involved in the Away from Violence project.
The project is a partnership between Bush Radio and Public Achievement, and has been supported by the
Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland
. We still have funds to raise, so if you would like to make a donation, please contact
Bronagh
at the PA office.
