Public Achievement hosts Basque Youth Exchange
Public Achievement hosts Basque Youth Exchange
28/07/2011
As a result of a partnership with
Kiribil Sarea
, a network organisation in Bilbao involved in community empowerment and socio-educational initiatives, the staff of Public Achievement are looking forward to hosting a youth exchange 8-15th August with 8 young people from the Basque country visiting Northern Ireland to pair up with 8 young people who have been involved in our
Away from Violence
and
WIMPS
programmes.
The young people will explore together their understanding of conflict and division, and following media training sessions they will create their own media product to address the issues they identify. A celebration event will be held on
Sunday 14th August, 2011 at 8pm
in the
Ormeau Baths Gallery
to mark the achievements of the young people and to provide an opportunity to view their work. All are welcome, for more details or to RSVP, contact
Debs Erwin
on 028 9044 2813.
