Monaghan Museum

The Monaghan museum group has been running from September 2004. There are 9 young people in the group aged 13 and 14 and they got off to a flying start! They have created an exhibition about GAA in Ulster which is part of an in-house exhibition called 'A century of Sport' which opened in July. The group developed the majority of text panels for the exhibition and were pleased with the outcome. As you can see from this photo, local Olympian Barry McGuigan opened the exhibition on the 11th July, it will be running until November. The group are currently learning loads of new skills like photography and sound recording for their next project which will focus on Monaghan town.
